300RPM Johnson Geared Motor
Johnson geared motor is a high performance DC geared motor with metal gearbox delivering high torque in the selected range of RPM. This geared motor is best suited for the beginner level learning students. The motor delivers high performance with low voltage(12V). Since the motor is inexpensive, delivers high output torque at the shaft and low weight makes it one of the best motors for DIY projects, mini projects, robotic events etc. The motor is widely used in the robotics small events( namely, robo race and robo soccer ) due to its compactness in design and comparatively lower price.
The 300RPM Johnson geared motor consists of a base motor behind the gearbox pushes with the high RPM to drive the gearbox and truncate the speed and escalate the torque. The circular metal gearbox housing comprises a compound gear train that achieves a better gear ratio from basemotor to the output shaft.
The shaft is slightly off centred, makes it easy to attach lower diameter wheels achieving optimum ground clearance for the bot. The shaft is of 6mm in diameter consists of M3 threaded holes advocating the mounting of the wheel. Any 65mm-100mm wheels can be attached to the Johnson motor provided it comprises 6mm bore.
